Let’s celebrate the good in giving! That’s the idea behind Fablanthropy, the intersection of fabulous and philanthropy. Working in the trenches of fundraising is not an easy task. But we are making changes in our communities every day, and we should celebrate the positives of that, no matter how small our triumphs may be.
Fablanthropy began as a blog in 2015 to serve as a home for fundraisers to share successes and ideas, and to soak up the motivation. Join us and submit your good news to build our community!
Chief Fablanthropist Lisa M. Chmiola, CFRE has more than 17 years of professional philanthropic development experience with organizations in the education, healthcare, and religious sectors. She’s served as an active volunteer for a variety of nonprofit organizations for more than 35 years, starting as a Girl Scout in elementary school (and cookie seller supreme!). Currently, Lisa is actively involved with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (both international committees and the New Orleans Chapter board), the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, and the Muff-a-Lottas dance troupe. She’s also a Junior League of New Orleans sustainer and a graduate of several leadership development programs.
Want to bring Fablanthropy to your organization? An AFP Master Trainer since 2014, Lisa is available for seminars, conferences, and one-on-one work with organizations to provide training to staff and volunteers on a variety of topics.
